An experienced teacher of literature and the polish language for foreigners. Advisor on multiculturalism in Cracow. She has taught the polish language to adult foreigners for many years. At the moment she is mainly focused on the education of children and youth with migration experiences. Mrs Majcher-Legawiec has cooperated with the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and ran a school for children of Polish origin in Lisbon. Since 2017 she has been a member of an Interdisciplinary Team for cooperation on the implementation of the \u201eOpen Cracow\u201d programme. She also cooperates with the Centre of Research on Education and Integration of Migrants at the Pedagogical University in Krak\u00f3w. Mrs Pamu\u0142a-Behrens is interested in bilingualism, education of migrant’s children, autonomy and individualization of the learning process, professional training for foreign language teachers and distant learning. She also coordinates postgraduate studies \u201eTeaching Polish as a foreign language\u201d and the Polish version of the European Language Portfolio for children at early stages of education. She has almost 15 years of experience working in government administration in the field of implementation of state policy towards national and ethnic minorities, in particular implementation of integration policy towards Roma in Poland. In the years 2008-2014, Plenipotentiary of the Governor of Ma\u0142opolska Province for National and Ethnic Minorities. In the years 2007-2017, she taught postgraduate Romani studies at the Pedagogical University in Krakow. Pilot studies”.\u00a0 She is also a researcher in the \u201cTransnational lives of Polish Roma \u2013 Migration, family and ethnic boundary making in changing European Union\u201d conducted at the Centre of Migration Research at the University of Warsaw and financed by the Polish National Science Centre.\u00a0\u00a0 Member of the Polish Oral History Society. Micha\u0142 Wanke is a sociologist and an Assistant Professor at the Department of Cultural Studies of the University of Opole, Poland. He studies people who use drugs, especially cannabis in non-Western contexts. He also conducts research on migration, most recently as a postdoctoral fellow at the Cracow University of Economics in a Horizon Europe PREMIUM_EU project. He published in and guest edited international and Polish journals alike. He received funding from Erasmus+, National Science Centre in Poland and the Polish National Centre for Addiction Prevention. Dr. Wanke acts as an advisor to the Opole Province Self Government for Addiction Prevention. Dr. Iwona Bielska is an epidemiologist and health services researcher with experience in academic and government settings. She is an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Public Health at Jagiellonian University and an Assistant Professor (Part-Time) in the Department of Health Research Methods, Evidence and Impact at McMaster University. Her research focuses on health care access and utilization patterns among vulnerable population groups, including patients with high use of the emergency department. Dr. Bielska is leading the Polish-Ukrainian arm of the Lancet Commission on Health, Conflict and Forced Displacement\u2019s qualitative study on the humanitarian response system.
